Factions Guide: All 5 Plus OmniThe House TD 2 · Updated 2026-08-19

Factions are the economic backbone of The House TD 2. Every unit belongs to one of five factions - Undead, Paranormal, Demon, Military or Holy - and your end-of-run faction coin payout is decided by which faction holds the MAJORITY in your squad. Build randomly and you bleed value; build toward a majority and every run pays you in the currency you actually want.

Step-by-Step

  1. Learn the six buckets: Undead, Paranormal, Demon, Military, Holy - plus Omni, the fallback bucket that is not a real faction but a tiebreak result.
  2. Majority rule: if most of your active units share one faction, the run pays out that faction's coins. Example: 3 Undead + 2 Demon pays Undead coins.
  3. The tie trap: with no majority (a 2+2 split in a small squad, for instance), your payout falls into Omni instead of a faction you can target-spend. Avoid accidental ties when you slot your 5 units.
  4. Spend faction coins at the Faction Center in the lobby - community guides confirm factions can be leveled there for buffs (exact buff numbers are not public yet; check the upgrade tooltips in-game).
  5. Practical squad rule: pick ONE faction to main based on your best units (e.g. Frank for Undead, Duchess for Demon), fill the majority with it, and use off-faction slots only for roles your main faction lacks.
  6. Re-check after every patch: faction balance is exactly the kind of thing an early-beta game reshuffles - the game last updated August 16, 2026.

Tips & Notes

  • Faction coins are per-faction currencies - coins earned for Undead do not help you level Holy. Focus beats spread.
  • Your free Kitty is Holy: if you main Holy early, your day-one payouts already point at the faction you can actually upgrade.
